The Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne is a luxury hotel in Lausanne . It is located in the middle between Lausanne train station and Lake Geneva , a five-minute walk from the lake.

history

The hotel was opened in 1909, it has an Art Nouveau facade . It soon served as a retreat for kings and aristocrats from all over the world. The King of Thailand spent his youth here from 1933. For many years the Spanish royal family made the hotel their home during their exile.

In November 2015, the hotel reopened after a six-year complete renovation. Today the hotel, like the Bürgenstock Resort and the Hotel Schweizerhof, belongs to the Bürgenstock Selection , in which the Barwa Real Estate Company from the emirate of Qatar has a half share.

The hotel has 196 rooms and suites, function rooms, the Brasserie du Royal restaurant with terrace, a lobby lounge, cigar smoking lounge, a roof terrace with panoramic views and a large wellness area. The old chateau-style building and the attached new building are surrounded by gardens.
