Houhai
Houhai ( Chinese 后 海 , Pinyin hòuhǎi ) is the largest lake in the central area of Beijing , China and is located in the Xicheng district . Houhai also describes the neighborhood around the lake. From the turn of the millennium, the Hutong area on Houhai has developed into a popular nightlife center with many restaurants, bars and cafes; The area is particularly popular with tourists, “expats” and hip Beijing residents.
The area is also home to the Soong Ching-ling Museum, which commemorates Song Qingling , and the Prince Gong Mansion, which is dedicated to the Qing Dynasty.
