Houma (Linfen)
Houma (侯马 市) is a Chinese city in Shanxi Province , which belongs to the administrative area of the city of Linfen and is located in the south. It has an area of 274 km² and approx. 230,000 inhabitants (end of 2004).
Administrative structure
At the community level, Houma is made up of five street districts and three parishes. These are:
- Ludong Street District (路 东 街道), population 32,053 (2000 census);
- Street district Luxi (路 西 街道), 29,488 inhabitants, seat of the city government;
- Kuaibin street district (浍 滨 街道), 37,643 inhabitants;
- Road neighborhood Shangma (上马街道), 23,994 inhabitants;
- Zhangcun Street District (张 村 街道), population 21,182;
- Xintian Township (新 田乡), 45,181 residents;
- Gaocun Parish (高 村乡), 17,915 inhabitants;
- Fengcheng Township (凤 城乡), population 17,667.

Houma is famous for the alliance inscriptions found there on stone and jade plates from Houma .
