Howard Loewen
Howard Loewen is a German political scientist . Since October 2013 he has held the substitute professorship for Political Science at the Institute for Political Science of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .
Loewen studied political science, ethnology and economic policy at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität , where he obtained his Magister Artium in 1998 and a doctorate in philosophy in 2002 with a thesis on the theory and empiricism of transregional cooperation. The focus of his research and teaching activities is on regional multilateralism and economic and security policy in the East Asian region, as well as on political systems research.
