Howard Raphael Cushnir is an American author of philosophical counseling and psychological self-help books .

Life

Cushnir grew up in Northridge , a suburb of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley . He attended the College of Creative Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara , then Reed College and the University of California, Los Angeles , from which he graduated at age 19. After his engagement as a teacher and storyteller (storyteller), he was committed to environmental protection and human rights .

Cushnir wrote screenplays for the Geffen Company , Warner Brothers and Columbia Pictures . He has published articles in Mother Jones and Los Angeles Weekly and wrote a children's book .
