Hoydal ("Heutal") from a valley of the same name (always in the plural: Hoydalar ) in Hoyvík , a district of Tórshavn , Faroe Islands is the family name of the following people:

  • Annika Hoydal (* 1945), Faroese singer, composer and actress
  • Dánial Hoydal (* 1976), Faroese author
  • Gunnar Hoydal (* 1941), Faroese author, father of Dánial and brother of Annika
  • Høgni Hoydal (* 1966), leading Faroese politician of the Republican Party
  • Karsten Hoydal (1912–1990), Faroese politician and author. Father of Annika and Gunnar.
