Huang Guangyu

Huang Guangyu ( Chinese  黄光裕 , Pinyin Huáng Guāngyù , also: Wong Kwong Yu ; born June 24, 1969 in Shantou , Guangdong ) is a Chinese entrepreneur .

Life

Huang Guangyu founded the electronics company GOME Electrical Appliances . In May 2010, billionaire Huang Guangyu, founder of the company, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for tax evasion, insider trading and financial manipulation. His wife received a three-year prison term.
