Lifting floor
A lifting floor is a height-adjustable floor . It can be operated electrically , hydraulically or with (human or animal) muscle power .
In theaters and similar facilities, lifting floors enable the preparation of stage sets underground and their quick appearance on the actual stage ( lifting platform ). Such technology was already used in ancient times, e.g. B. in the Colosseum in Rome .
In vehicles, such as railroad cars or trucks , lifting floors make loading and unloading easier.
In swimming pools, the water level can be regulated with a lifting floor, for example in order to be able to use a shallower non-swimmer pool ( Vario pool ) for a short time .
