Lifting floor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A lifting floor is a height-adjustable floor . It can be operated electrically , hydraulically or with (human or animal) muscle power .

In theaters and similar facilities, lifting floors enable the preparation of stage sets underground and their quick appearance on the actual stage ( lifting platform ). Such technology was already used in ancient times, e.g. B. in the Colosseum in Rome .

In vehicles, such as railroad cars or trucks , lifting floors make loading and unloading easier.
