Hubert Gehring
Hubert Gehring (* 1957 ) is a former German politician ( CDU ).
Life
Gehring was Secretary General of the CDU Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from 1997 to 2000 . He was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania via the state list in the state elections in 1998 . However, Gehring resigned his mandate on August 7, 2000 after the payment of his fees as General Secretary in one of Helmut Kohl's secret accounts became public in the CDU donation affair .
Gehring then worked for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) as head of the international offices in Mexico and Venezuela . Today he heads the KAS office in Bogotá (Colombia).
