Hubertus Brandes (born September 26, 1989 in Hanover-Anderten ) is a German handball player .

Brandes is mainly to be found in the back center as well as the back left position. As a child, Brandes went through the various youth performance teams of the TSV Hannover-Anderten , which ultimately also gave him game practice in the 2nd handball Bundesliga under the later national coach Christian Prokop . Due to his studies, Brandes left his hometown club and switched to the upper division SG Rosdorf-Grone, from where he moved back to HSV Hannover for the 2017/18 season.

After the 2018/19 season, Brandes withdrew from the 3rd division of the German handball association and has since played for the second team of TSV Anderten.
