Hubertus von Luckner

Hubertus Graf von Luckner (born August 26, 1954 in Bad Oldesloe ) is a German banker and commander of the Order of St. John .

Life

Count Luckner was born as the second son of Ernst-Günther von Luckner (1919–1993) and his wife Ingemarie. He attended the Theodor Mommsen School in Bad Oldesloe . After graduating from high school in 1973, he became a reserve officer in the tank reconnaissance team . He studied economics at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . With a degree in economics , he went to Commerzbank in 1981 and in 1988 as director of IKB Deutsche Industriebank . The father of three is married to Sabine geb. von Gwinner, daughter of Otto von Gwinner.

After his father's death in 1993, he succeeded him as the 34th provost of the Uetersen monastery . In 2013 he was re-elected for another 10 years. He is the acting chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein knighthood . The Schleswig-Holstein Cooperative of the Order of St. John elected him in 2011 as governing commander. Together with other Johanniter, he built the hospice at the Elmshorn Clinic.
