The HUESKER Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of geosynthetics and technical textiles and develops, manufactures and markets tailor-made solutions in the fields of construction, agriculture and industry worldwide. The company headquarters are in Gescher .
history
The company was founded in 1861 under the name “H. & J. Huesker & Co. “was founded. In the 1950s and 1960s, the original cotton weaving mill switched its production to products made from synthetic yarns and plastics. These so-called technical textiles were used in hydraulic engineering and other civil engineering at the time. The areas of application for technical textiles from Huesker now include earthworks and foundation engineering, road and traffic route construction, hydraulic engineering, environmental technology as well as industry and agriculture. In 2007 the company had an annual turnover of more than 100 million euros.

range
The product range of HUESKER Synthetic GmbH includes synthetic fabrics, geogrids, composites and clay waterproofing membranes. In addition to this standard program, HUESKER develops solutions for various structural applications.
Former factory building
The former factory building at Fabrikstrasse 13–15 in Gescher was planned by the Swiss architecture firm Sequin and Knobel from Rüti ZH and built between 1905 and 1909. Because of its special architectural features, its importance for industrial history and its “size and shape”, which made it “a dominant urban reference point in Gescher’s urban fabric”, the building is a listed building .
