Hugo Schwelb

Hugo Schwelb (born June 7, 1877 in Rokitnitz , † after 1940) was a German violinist and composer .

Life

Little is known about its origin. His musical career began with his first violin lessons at the age of eight. From 1893 to 1897 he attended the Prague Conservatory. Since 1900 he has been active in various orchestras in Germany. Between 1903 and 1908 he was concertmaster and conductor of the Flora Orchestra in Cologne. He then stayed in Cologne and worked as a violin teacher, soloist and composer.

He can be proven to have lived in Cologne until 1940.
