Hula Hawaiian Quartet

The Hula Hawaiian Quartet was a German Schlager band that was active from the early 1950s to the 1960s and produced music in the style of the then current Tiki culture , which was shaped by Hawaiian music . Together with other bands of this genre such as The Hilo Hawaiians , they were very successful in Germany - the single Jim, Jonny & Jonas , released in 1954, became a number one hit and topped the singles charts in January and February 1955. According to the Polydorbuch: A name like music , the Hula Hawaiian Quartet consisted of the following members: Lucie Schulz, Barbara Kist , Herbert Imlau and Werner Preuss.

Together with Valentinos Hawaiian Band , another band of this type of hit, the Hula Hawaiian Quartet released their first single in 1951, which was released by Polydor .
