The Humphries Range is a mountain range in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Victory Mountains , it extends in the area of the Humphries Glacier .
New Zealand scientists named it after the name of the neighboring glacier of the same name. Its namesake is the New Zealand ionospheric researcher John Gerard Humphries, who worked at Hallett Station in 1957 .
