The Hunt Oil Road is an outback track in the center of the Australian state of Western Australia . It connects the Gunbarrel Highway west of Everard Junction with the Great Central Road in the middle between the Aboriginal settlement of Warburton and the Tjukayirla Roadhouse .

32 km west of Everard Junction , on the western border of the Gibson Desert Nature Reserve , the Hunt Oil Road branches off the Gunbarrel Highway to the south and leads to the two mountains Mount Worsnop and Mount Alliot , which lie between the Ida Range and the Sutherland Range , north of the salt lake Lake Gillen . There the track describes an S-curve to the east, only to continue on its way to the southeast. It passes the Kanpa settlement approx . 20 km to the west and meets the Great Central Road approx. 123 km northeast of the Tjukayirla Roadhouse .
