Hunter Hess (born October 1, 1998 in Bend ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the halfpipe discipline .

Career

Hess started the World Cup for the first time in Mammoth in January 2016 and finished 12th. In the 2018/19 season he was among the top ten in all four World Cup appearances. With third place in the Secret Garden Resort he achieved his first podium and at the end of the season he was 23rd in the overall World Cup and fourth in the Halfpipe World Cup. In the following season he reached ninth place in the Halfpipe World Cup with three top ten placements.
