Huntsham Castle

Huntsham Castle is a hill fort of the Iron Age at the village Huntsham in the English county of Devon . The facility is a Scheduled Monument .

It is located 260 meters above sea level on the edge of the former municipality of Tiverton. The Hillfort has been preserved as an oval enclosure that defines an area that slopes slightly to the south and has a diameter of about 150 m. It is bordered on all sides by a wall, the height of which varies from 1.0 m to 2.4 m inside and which is higher on the north side. Outside the wall is up to 2.9 m high. Around the wall there is a ditch up to 5.4 m wide and 0.4 m deep.
