The Huotong Xi ( Chinese 霍童 溪 , Pinyin Huòtóng Xī - "Huotong River") is a river in the southeast Chinese province of Fujian . It rises between the Jiufeng Mountains and the Donggong Mountains , from where it flows through the Pingnan County , the large communities of Huotong and Xinan , before flowing into the East China Sea ( Formosa Strait ) at Badu and Qidu .
The Huotong Xi has a length of 126 kilometers and an area of influence of 2244 square kilometers.
