The Hurricane Heights (English for hurricane heights ) are an irregular, mainly ice-free mountain range of about up to 2000 m high mountain peaks in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range they rise up on the south side of the Towle Valley .
Scientists in a campaign carried out from 1989 to 1990 as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program named it so because of the strong winds that frequently occur here.
