Husen (Hüllhorst)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Husen is an old place name that describes parts of the municipality Hüllhorst in the Minden-Lübbecke district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

The Husenmühle

Husen refers to a presumed knight seat of the noble von Schloen family . This family had lived on Gut Husen since the 14th century and is also known under the name Tribbe. Today, the knight's seat can no longer be located superficially, this would require archaeological excavations. However, the existence is documented several times.

The lower part of the coat of arms of the municipality of Hüllhorst represents the coat of arms of the von Schloen family.

The name appears today only in the name “Husemühle” and modified with the old name “Hasemeier”.
