The Hutchinson triad ( ancient Greek : triás = trinity) is a complex named after Jonathan Hutchinson and made up of three symptoms that often occur together in congenital syphilis (Lues connata). These include inner ear hearing loss , corneal inflammation (keratitis parenchymatosa) and barrel teeth . The latter is a barrel-shaped deformation of the incisors (dentes incisivi). In addition, malformations of the molars (dentes molares) can occur.
