Hwange Colliery FC
Hwange Colliery FC is a Zimbabwean football club from Hwange .
The club, which was founded as Wankie FC, is one of the oldest football clubs in Zimbabwe . The exact year of foundation is not known. As early as 1893 during the construction of the railway line, football games were occasionally played among the employees and workers. Nevertheless, the club managed to win the cup competition three times. In 1970 the Salisbury Callies were defeated 6-2 in the final . In 1973 they surprisingly defeated Dynamos FC 1-0 . In 1991 they faced the then second division club Cranbonne Bullets . They won 3-2 goals. The club is called Chipangano by the fans . In 2005 it was renamed Hwange Colliery FC .
