Hyosung S&T Motors
KR Motors is a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer and part of KR Motors Co., Ltd. In 2007, S&T Motors Co., Ltd. The Hyosung Motors & Machinery Inc. The Hyosung motorcycles of have since been under the name Hyosung Motors KR offered. The main business of the S&T Group is the manufacture of heat exchangers, vehicle parts, accessories for vehicles, as well as various products for the armaments industry. Other products include axles, drives, gears, machine tools and cast parts.
The enterprise
KR Motors serves around 40 percent of the market in its home country and is the largest motorcycle exporter in South Korea with exports to over 60 countries. Around 500 employees produce around 50,000 motorized two-wheelers annually. In Europe , the markets in Germany , France and Spain are mainly supplied. Around 6,000 two-wheelers go to Spain every year, around half to Germany, and France imports around 3,500 machines. In addition to Asia , the USA and Australia are other important export countries.
The company was founded in 1978 and a year later entered into a cooperation with Suzuki . Part of this was the production of 125cc motorcycles and small ATVs , which Suzuki sold on the Japanese market. Hyosung manufactures all engines in-house and places great emphasis on research and development. Around 90 people are employed here. Motorized two-wheelers have been exported since 1982. After Honda and Yamaha , Hyosung took third place in the 2007 German registration statistics in the 125 cc class.
Hyosung covers everything from cruisers to athletes, especially in the field of light motorcycles . In addition to 50 cm³ scooters, ATVs and motorcycles with 125, 250 (from 2014) and 650 cm³ displacement are also offered. Since 2010, a 700 cc motorcycle, designed as a cruiser, has been expanding the model range upwards.
