Hyperion Entertainment is a Belgian company based in Brussels that was founded in March 1999 and initially dealt mainly with porting well-known games to Mac OS , Linux and Amiga . Later the AmigaOS development was taken over.

AmigaOS operating system

Since 2001 the company has been working on behalf of Amiga Inc. together with a group - mainly voluntary - developers on the further development of the AmigaOS operating system for PowerPC- based hardware. At first the system was available for the AmigaOne from the British company Eyetech .

Hyperion has had its own rights to the AmigaOS4 since 2009. In addition to a "Classic" version for PowerPC turbo cards from the Commodore Amigas, there are also versions for the mainboards of the SAM440 and Sam460 (AmigaOne 500) series from ACUBE Systems and for the Pegasos -II from Genesi . Furthermore, AmigaOne X1000, X5000 and A1222 are supported by A-Eon.
