Hypercrine

Hyperkrinie (from ancient Greek ὑπέρ - [h] ypér- "over-" and κρίνειν [krinein] "secrete") denotes a production of a glandular secretion abnormal in quantity. In particular, the term is used in relation to secretion disorders of the bronchial mucous glands, such as bronchial asthma .

If the mucus composition changes, one speaks of dyscriny .
