Hyrax Hill

Hyrax Hill is a prehistoric site in Kenya ( Africa ). It is located near Nakuru in the county of the same name and is considered one of the most important Neolithic excavation sites in the country. The date of approx. 1500 BC. The facility, dated to 1926 BC, was discovered by Louis and Mary Leakey . Mary Leakey dug here from 1937. There are remains of settlements, graves and a stone fort . 19 strangely decapitated corpses were found in a crouched position , but also a construction game board with its typical hollows that is still widespread today . More recent finds from the Iron Age are also presented in a small museum.
