The Hyslop Islands ( Norwegian Tangholmane , tongue islands ) are a group of two islands and four cliffs off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the southeastern part of Prydz Bay they are 2 km south of Ranvik Island in the group of the Rauer Islands .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them in 1991 after the geodesist John W. Hyslop of the Australian Surveying and Land Information Group , who was involved in the GPS- based survey of the Rauer Islands from 1989 to 1990 .
