The i + R Gruppe GmbH emerged from Schertler-Alge GmbH at the beginning of 2013 and is one of the 20 largest construction companies in Austria.
history
In 1904, today's company was founded as a master and joiner's workshop . In 1930 a saw and planing mill was put into operation. In the 1950s the company entered the general construction business and began manufacturing industrial windows and doors.
The Schertler-Alge GmbH was founded in 1978, in 1986 the company was Huppenkothen Construction adopted in 1990 outsourced the Department of civil engineering as an independent company and the gravel pit Bauer Ewald Kressbronn bought. From 2000 branches were established in Eastern Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and in 2006 Schertler-Alge / Bühler GmbH in Germany in cooperation with the steel manufacturer Bühler for industrial and commercial buildings. In 2007, the construction logistics company Bautruck and the Moosbrugger gravel works were taken over , and in 2008 Schertler-Alge / Heim GmbH Geothermie was founded and Dietrich Bau Lindau was taken over.
In order to strengthen the five core areas of the company, from the beginning of 2013 they were run as independent subsidiaries under the umbrella of i + R Gruppe GmbH. The managing partners of the i + R Group are Reinhard Schertler and Joachim Alge. The joint company location is the new company headquarters in Johann-Schertler-Str. 1 in Lauterach .
I + R Holzbau and i + R Fensterbau will remain at their previous locations in Dammstrasse in Lauterach.
