II Rabi Award

The II Rabi Award of the IEEE is a prize for contributions to atomic and molecular frequency standards and measuring time. It is named after II Rabi , who was also the first prize winner. It has been awarded annually since 1983.

He is not with the II Rabi Prize of the American Physical Society to be confused. The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine also presents an II Rabi Award.

Of the winners, five are Nobel Prize winners, besides Rabi: Ramsey, Wineland, Hall and Hänsch.
