ICC Women's Championship 2014–16

The ICC Women's Championship 2014–16 was a tournament of the eight best women’s national cricket teams between August 21, 2014 and November 23, 2016. The winner of the first-time competition was Australia .

format

Each team played each other once. In an encounter between two teams, three One-Day Internationals over 50 overs were played. If more than three of these games were played within a tour, the games that counted for this competition were determined in advance. Two points were awarded for a win of a game and one point for a draw or no-result. The first in the table after the end of the season was the winner of the tournament. This and the three other best-placed teams qualified directly for the Women's Cricket World Cup 2017 , while the other teams were given another opportunity to qualify for the World Cup at the Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2017 .

1 India lost the games without a fight because the tour against Pakistan did not take place until the end of October 2016 and India did not respond to Pakistan's requests.
