IEEE Transactions on Information Theory

The IEEE Transactions on Information Theory is a scientific journal on Information Theory , surveyed monthly by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is published (IEEE).

The magazine has been published since 1953. Before the IEEE was founded in 1963, it was published by the Institute of Radio Engineers . It deals with the processing, transmission, storage and use of information as well as the theoretical basics of communication . She is particularly interested in the areas of coding , complexity , cryptography , pattern recognition , automatons and stochastic processes . The current editor-in-chief is Ezio Biglieri from the University of Pompeu Fabra .

In a 2006 study that used the PageRank algorithm and compared a large number of important computer science journals , IEEE Transactions on Information Theory achieved the highest number of points, making it the most prestigious trade journal. ACM Computing Surveys , which had the highest impact factor , was considered the most popular journal.
