The building complex of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the Rheinisch-Westfälische Börse (RWB) at Ernst-Schneider-Platz 1 in Düsseldorf was built from 1956 to 1957 according to designs by Konstanty Gutschow and Godber Nissen in the international style of the 1950s.

description

Stock exchange building, Düsseldorf

The IHK building is a twelve-story high-rise. The first three floors of the high-rise are just as high as those of the neighboring three-story stock exchange building and contain administrative rooms for the adjoining stock exchange building. A high hall floor rises above it, and the offices of the IHK can be found on the upper floors of the high-rise building. The use of the house can thus be read from the outside. The RWB building was a three-storey building until 2000, which was later increased by two storeys. RWB Düsseldorf was built on the plan of a hexagon .
