III. Kerületi DO

III. Kerületi TUE , also listed as 3rd district in various German-language lists , is a Hungarian football club in Óbuda in the III. District ( kerületi ), in the north of Budapest . The association was founded on January 24, 1887 . The club colors are blue and white. III. Kerületi TUE plays its home games at the Hévízi út stadium . The club has played in the third division (NBIII) since the 2004/05 season.

In the final of the Hungarian Cup of the 1930/31 season defeated the team from Óbuda, at that time under the name III, which was in use until 2003. Kerületi TVE, Ferencvárosi TC sensational with 4: 1.

The biggest success in recent times were the two promotions of the first division (NB1) in 1996 and 1998. In both cases, however, the team immediately rose again.

In 2000, the first combat team was separated from the club and merged with the football department of Csepel SC . The team played together for the next two years under the name of Csepel on the Danube island of Csepel in the south of Budapest. The youth teams stayed in Óbuda.

The football department of the Csepel SC was dissolved after the 2001/02 season. With the beginning of the 2003/04 season, the now III. Kerületi TUE called club again the senior game operation with many players from the previous teams and their own youth and was allowed to start in the fourth league.

The team survived the season undefeated and immediately rose to the third division, NBIII, where the club can be found to this day (2007/08).
