IKOB Eupen

The IKOB - Museum for Contemporary Art is a museum in the German-speaking city of Eupen in Belgium . It was founded in 1993 by Francis Feidler, who was in charge until December 2012.

In 2000 the museum was given permanent premises and was renamed in 2005 by the IKOB - International Art Center East Belgium . Since then, the IKOB has been the only art museum in the German-speaking community of Belgium.

Frank-Thorsten Moll has headed the IKOB since 2016 . In 2017, the topic of "resentment" was dealt with.

Art award

Since 2005, the IKOB Art Prize, endowed with up to 5000 euros, has been awarded to young visual artists every three years.
