The IL Jutul was founded in 1930. The ice hockey team of IL Jutul rose in the season 2008/09 from the third class 2nd divisjon to the second class 1st divisjon . In this, the team also played in the 2012/13 season before relegating back to the third division at the end of the season.
The club's soccer team last appeared in the fourth-class 3rd division in the 2011 season.
