from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The INUA (International Network for Universities Altdorf) is an initiative of various academics who have set themselves the task of re-establishing the traditional University of Altdorf (1622–1809) in Altdorf near Nuremberg . The aim is to create a private university that will give the current academic landscape new impulses with innovative concepts. At the same time, emphasis is placed on the continuation of the humanistic worldview of the University of Altdorf.

development

INUA was registered as an association in the second half of 2002. It is in the Nuremberg Castle District - Bergstr. 3 - home. The board of directors is Sibylle Kisro-Völker , managing director Andre Schlipp . In addition to the registered association , INUA eGi G was founded in 2002. This cooperative, which is located in Altdorf, has since acted as an educational institution.

In 2003 there was a public call for the reopening of the "Nuremberg University Altdorf, Altdorfina". The INUA is currently working with around 20 scientific assistants on the university database Statusquo of the Sciences in Germany . This is where the most important data from all courses offered by German universities are to be collected and made generally accessible on the Internet.

Perspectives

INUA is planning to develop various degree programs. The focus is currently on the "College" and "studium universale" programs.

The college offer is intended to address high school students who are offered a kind of “ trial study ”. The LdL concept (“learning through teaching”) plays a central role in this . On the other hand, the concept is aimed at students at the Hagen Open University . For them, real campus life and personal support during their studies should be the focus.

The “studium universale”, on the other hand, is aimed at people who have already completed a degree. As part of a comprehensive general course, they should be given a deeper insight into all the sciences.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is also planned together with the French University of Nancy II . Another project is the master’s degree in social management .
