iO Scooter is a manufacturer of electrically powered scooters from Brunn am Gebirge in Austria . The company has another headquarters in Asia .

The company, founded in 1998, offers its vehicles in different versions:

  • The smallest model Scooby with a motor output of 600 watts and a maximum speed of 25 km / h is considered a bicycle according to Austrian law (see Pedelec ) and can therefore be driven by persons aged 12 and over without registration, insurance and driving license (including when accompanied by an adult).
  • The 1500 GT , Florenz and Vienna models , with an engine output of 1.5 to 3 kW and a top speed of 45 km / h, fall into the EC vehicle class L1e.
  • With the Vienna XE and King Kong models , vehicles with driving license class A1 are offered.
  • The Manhattan model with an output of 13 kW falls under driving license class A2.
