IPTraf is a console-based network statistics program for Linux . Among other things, it collects information about TCP connections and counts packets and bytes , provides interface statistics and indicators for activities and can be used to detect TCP / UDP traffic interruptions. The program works with the built-in raw socket interface of the Linux kernel and thus supports a large number of network cards and hardware .
Range of functions
The program can handle TCP flag information, display ICMP details and OSPF packet types. It provides general and detailed interface statistics of IP , TCP, UDP, ICMP, non-IP and other IP packet counts. There are also IP checksum errors, interface activities and packet parameters.
Supported protocols
Non-IP packets are as non-IP in and Ethernet - LAN belonging is MAC address specified.
