Stephan Bergold

Stephan Bergold (born November 28, 1789 in Burgerroth ; † August 25, 1846 in Oellingen ) was a Bavarian farmer and politician.

Bergold was born the son of the farmer Johannes Bergold (1764–1844), one uncle was the Haßfurt pastor Georg Martin Bergold (1759–1834).

In addition to his agricultural activities, Bergold was also politically active. He was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies from 1840 to 1846. Assessment in 1839: According to an assessment from 1839, with a fortune of around 50,000 florins, he was considered the wealthiest farmer in his area. "Like all country folk, he had no political principles and would give himself up to the leader of any party who knew how to win his trust."

His successor was Johann Schwinn.
