IRIS GL

IRIS GL ( Integrated Raster Imaging System Graphics Library ; German Integrated Raster Graphics System Graphics Library ) is a proprietary graphics programming interface (API) developed by Silicon Graphics (SGI ). It was used to generate 2D and 3D computer graphics on IRIX -based graphics workstations . SGI later removed its own proprietary program code, revised various system calls and published IRIS GL as the OpenGL industry standard .
