ISPConfig ( Internet Service Provider Configuration ) has been developed by Projektfarm GmbH Till Brehm and Falko Timme and first as under 42go.de proprietary software sold. ISPConfig is currently supported by ISPConfig  UG , distributed under the BSD license and is available in 22 languages.

With ISPConfig, servers or services such as http, ftp, bind, mail, POP3 / IMAP, MySQL, firewall etc. can be configured and administered via a web-based interface, with four levels being differentiated: One level for server administrators to manage of servers, web space, resellers and customers, one level for providers / resellers for the administration of web space, customers and web space, one level for customers for the administration of web space, subdomains and e-mail accounts as well as the users of this e-mail Accounts. ISPConfig runs on Linux distributions such as CentOS , Debian , Fedora , openSUSE , and Ubuntu , but can also be made to work on other Linux distributions. ISPConfig can be set up both as a single-server setup and as a multi-server setup. With a single-server setup, all the desired services and the configuration interface are installed on one server. With a multi-server setup, several servers can be administered via a configuration interface. This makes it possible, for example, to set up a separate web server, database server and mail server or, if necessary, to add additional servers, and still manage all customer accounts and services via one interface.

ISPConfig is offered by many web hosts.
