ITV Serveis Andorra
ITV Serveis Andorra (ITV for short) is an organization established by law in the Principality of Andorra . ITV carries out the official general inspection for vehicles of all types and is comparable to the German TÜV .
Tasks and organization
ITV Services SA Andorra was founded in 2006 and is owned by the Andorra Automobile Club and Applus Iteuve Technology SLU, each 50%, with Applus also responsible for general certification and technical services for industry and commerce. Applus is so z. B. responsible for the certification, testing and calibration of all technical devices that are, for example, subject to mandatory calibration.
The deadlines for the general inspection of motor vehicles in Andorra are set by law. A first test at the ITV after five years for new vehicles is common, then every two years and annually for vehicles that are more than nine years old. Different times apply for buses, taxis and trucks. ITV Andorra has been a full member of the CITA (International Committee for the Motor Vehicle Inspection) since 2009.
