The Cuchilla del Guaycurú is a range of hills in Uruguay .

It is located on the territory of the Department of San José . It is an offshoot of the Cuchilla Grande Inferior . The Cuchilla del Guaycurú branches off from this in the source region of the Arroyo del Guaycurú and the Arroyo del Rosario . From there it initially runs in a southerly direction but then bends to the east at the Sierra del Mahoma . From this change in direction it is known as Cuchilla de San José. It extends to the confluence of the Río San José in the Río Santa Lucía .
