History and construction

The IVL C.24 was the first aircraft to be industrially developed and built in Finland. The aircraft was designed by Kurt Berger as a high- wing aircraft with an open cockpit and tail wheel landing gear. The first flight took place on April 16, 1924. The engine turned out to be too weak, the speed was too slow and the flight characteristics were poor, so that the machine was only tested by the Finnish Air Force for a short time .
