Yitzchak Chaim Peretz ( Hebrew יצחק חיים פרץ, Born March 26, 1938 in Casablanca ) is a former Israeli politician of the Shas party and later of the Jahadut HaTorah HaMeukhedet (United Torah Judaism) party.

Life

He studied at Yeshivot in Pardes Hana and Jerusalem and became a rabbi . He was Chief Rabbi of Ra'anana from 1962 to 1984. He was Minister of the Interior from 1984 to 1987, Minister without Portfolio from 1987 to 1988 , and Minister for Immigrant Integration from 1988 to 1992.
