Ian Crichton (born August 3, 1956 in Oakville ) is a Canadian musician .

Ian Crichton is the guitarist for the band Saga . He is the younger brother of Jim Crichton , who is also a bassist for Saga. Ian was inspired by Queen and Jeff Beck . In addition to the guitar, he has also mastered the bass . He had received a bass from his brother Jim early on, but then found out for himself that he preferred to play the guitar. Ian Crichton is married to his wife Joy and they have 3 children with them. In addition to the albums with Saga, he produced two - albeit less successful - solo albums. From 1997 to 1999 he was guitarist with Asia .
