Ibrahim ibn Tashfin

Ibrahim ibn Tashfin ( Arabic إبراهيم بن تاشفين) was emir of the Almoravids (1145–1147). He succeeded his father Tashfin ibn Ali . He was still young and under the tutelage of his uncle Ishaq ibn Ali .

Under his rule, the Almoravids had to face the Almohads , who began an offensive after ibn Ali's death. They occupied Oujda and Guercif and eventually conquered Fez , Meknes and Salé . The young emir tried to fight the Almohads, but fell in a battle near Oran in 1147 .

He was succeeded by his uncle Ishaq ibn Ali.
