Ibrica Jusić
Ibrica Jusić (born December 15, 1944 in Dubrovnik ) is a Croatian songwriter and musician in the field of folk and Sevdalinka .
Life
Ibrica Jusić, actually Ibrahim Jusić, comes from a Bosnian family. His brother Đelo Jusić was the later leader of the Yugoslav band Dubrovački Trubaduri .
Ibrica Jusić began his musical career in Zagreb in 1965, where he won first prize at the Zagreb Festival in 1968 with the song Celuloidni pajac . He then lived in Paris for a few years and received a record deal with Jugoton in 1974 . In addition to projects in Yugoslavia , he also appeared internationally, composed drama music and was a. a. at the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall . In 1980 he returned to France , where he released a French-language record and appeared on television. Jusić lived in Sweden in the second half of the 1980s before returning to Croatia in 1991 .
After the turn of the millennium he published traditional Bosnian songs in the Sevdalinka tradition with a modern arrangement. He was invited to the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2004 and played at the Etno World Festival in Oslo that same year .

Ibrica Jusić's music has influences from Italian, French, Croatian and Bosnian music. The 2001 album Hazader consists of songs by Leonard Cohen .
