Ida Nikolajewna Kuklina

Ida Nikolajewna Kuklina ( Russian Ида Николаевна Куклина ; born April 15, 1934 ) is a Russian political scientist and human rights activist . She heads the Commission for Analysis and Information of the Union of Committees of Soldiers' Mothers of Russia and is a member of the Human Rights Council of the Russian President .

Life

Ida Kuklina studied political science and received her doctorate. She worked at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR , since 1991 the Russian Academy of Sciences .

In 1989 she co-founded the Union of Committees of Soldiers' Mothers of Russia. In 1996 she received the Right Livelihood Award (Alternative Nobel Prize) for this and gave the acceptance speech. Since 2004 she has been a member of the Human Rights Council of the Russian President.

Ida Kuklina published several scientific studies on the situation in Syria, Ukraine, southern Africa and the influence of international politics on crisis areas.
